I recently took a trip to NYC with my sisters and, in typical narcissist fashion, used my time in the big apple as an opportunity to romance my novel. If I wasn’t already head-over-heels for Reggie, Snake, and their beautiful cover (designed by the talented Jim Tierney), this trip certainly made me fall into what Reggie calls, “the stupid, non-existent ideal of love.”
Reggie demanded a window seat on the Amtrak.
Snake thought it would be cute to visit Bryant Park at sunset. Reggie thought it was lame, but she begrudgingly went along with the plan.
Reggie and Snake spent two hours in Central Park talking crap about passerbys. Or as they called it, “bonding.”
Reggie pushed Snake down the stairs after he tried to get her to ice skate. They spent the remainder of the afternoon in the hotel room nursing Snake’s injured leg.
Snake demanded they engage in Reggie’s biggest fear….again.
Reggie tried to push Snake out of the cart at the top of the wheel. (Don’t worry. He’s still alive.)
Reggie and Snake took a boat tour. Snake filmed the scenery for his next short film. Reggie complained that the dude next to her smelled like cheese.
Snake inisted they trek across the Brooklyn Bridge just to get this shot.
Snake charmed his way into a rooftop bar, not at all to Reggie’s surprise.
In Times Square, Reggie said, “I’ve never seen so many miserable people in one place. And I thought Flashburn was bad…”
The duo enjoyed themselves, but they were ready to get back to Flashburn (mostly because Karen and Carla wouldn’t stop calling…)
